Checking AMAPI test readiness…

Use a new, unused spare Pixel. On its Android welcome screen, tap six times and scan the QR. Google Android Device Policy manages the phone and installs Zira Companion from Managed Google Play. This flow does not migrate or reset any enrolled phone.

The test starts with 60-second Zira telemetry and a daily cloud reboot at 03:00 America/Los_Angeles, following daylight saving. Reboot requires an Internet connection; a missed reboot window is skipped. Change or disable the schedule under the phone's Details after enrollment.

AMAPI project access, enrollment quota, enterprise setup and the approved companion release must be configured by your platform team. This test flow does not use the custom-DPC approval checkboxes below.

Checking new-phone setup readiness…

For a new or factory-reset company-owned phone. On the Android welcome screen, tap six times, connect to the Internet if asked, and scan the QR. Android downloads Zira Device and sets it up as device owner. Follow Android's setup confirmations. Do not reset a phone already in use for this test.

Management app release & approval

This is the separate bootstrap APK downloaded before enrollment. Use a signed, non-debug release at a stable, publicly reachable HTTPS URL whose path includes the complete lowercase APK SHA-256. Keep that exact file immutable. An uploaded camera app or the current debug management APK cannot be used here.

Leave approval and verification unchecked until completed. These acknowledgements record your team's verification; saving them does not grant Google approval. Existing code enrollment remains available.

Wi-Fi is optional and may still need to be selected on the phone to start the scanner. WPA3-only and enterprise networks are not supported by this QR profile. Any included Wi-Fi password is readable by anyone with the QR.

Each code enrolls exactly one phone, then stops working. The phone must already be set up as device owner with the Zira Device app.
On the phone, open Zira Device and enter:

Code
This code is shown once. It is not stored and cannot be recovered; create a new one if it's lost.

Set up one new phone

Scan from the Android welcome screen. Finish setup before this code expires. A scan starts setup; enrollment completes only when the phone appears in Phones.

Keep this QR private. It contains a one-use enrollment code and may contain a Wi-Fi password. A copy can enroll a phone into this customer. Delete downloaded or printed copies after use.

Upload an app
Upload a signed release APK (one base APK, one signer, up to 100 MB). The package name, version and signing certificate are read from the file. A phone only installs an app whose package and signer are approved for its customer.
AppVersionSignerSizeUploaded
Install
Each phone downloads the file over HTTPS, checks its SHA-256 and signer, then installs. The result appears in each phone's history. Phones whose customer hasn't approved this app or signer are not selectable.
PhoneCustomerState
Add a customer
Each customer has a default policy: the approved apps and signers, the app pinned in kiosk, and the boot app. New phones get it at enrollment. Push it to existing phones after a change.
Add a person
They sign in at aicam.zira.us with a code sent to their email. Admins see every customer and can enroll phones, approve apps and manage the team. Others see only the customers they're given.
